Welcome to joshuaeastman.dev, a personal portfolio site created by Joshua Eastman. By accessing this site or the provided APIs (the Quotes API and the Bookmarks API), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or APIs.

2. Intellectual Property

The design, layout, and written content on this website are the intellectual property of Joshua Eastman, unless otherwise noted. Code samples and project repositories may be governed by their own open-source licenses (see each repository for details).

3. Quotes & Attribution

The Quotes API serves short textual quotations for demonstrative and educational purposes. Some quotations may be subject to copyright or other rights in certain jurisdictions. If you are a rights holder and believe a quote should be removed or attributed differently, contact contact@joshuaeastman.dev.

4. API Acceptable Use (All APIs)

• Do not attempt to bypass or interfere with rate-limiting, security measures, or service operation.
• Do not overload the APIs or engage in abusive, automated, or malicious requests.
• High-volume, commercial, or re-distribution use is not permitted without prior written permission.
• Respect any published rate limits; responses may be throttled (e.g., HTTP 429).

5. Bookmarks API Submissions

• Anonymous, moderated: Submissions are anonymous and subject to review; new items are unapproved by default and may not appear publicly.
• Lawful content only: Do not submit unlawful, infringing, hateful, pornographic, or spam content. Do not submit malicious links or attempts to phish or exploit users.
• License/permission: By submitting, you grant permission to display, edit, or remove the submission as part of operating the service.
• Edits & removal: Submissions may be edited for clarity (e.g., description, tags) or removed at the site owner’s discretion.
• Spam controls: Anti-abuse measures (including a honeypot field, rate-limiting, and IP-based checks) may be used to protect the service.

6. Availability & Changes

The site and APIs may change or be discontinued at any time without notice. Features, endpoints, and response formats may evolve as the projects develop. Availability may be restricted by rate-limiting.

This site and APIs may include links to external websites or resources. I am not responsible for the content or practices of third-party sites. Visiting them is at your own discretion.
